5 Steps To Build Your Own Subscriber List

Anyone who owns an online business must know about this: the subscriber list is the most important item to an Internet marketer. You need a list of subscribers to earn a steady income and the bigger the list, the better it is.

Your list of subscribers is the best target to sell your product to. They are your potential “captive market”. You can do a lot of things with your list – for example conducting a survey, get ideas for your products, testing your product, etc. But the greatest reason to have a list, this is where you earn most of your money from.

What should you do if you don’t have a subscriber list? Simply start building one right away, and that is what you will learn through this article.

1. Where do you start?
You need to choose the right autoresponder for yourself. The more reputable paid autoresponders are http://www.aweber.com and
http://www.GetResponse.com Though using a free autoresponder is not encouraged, you can get a decent one at http://www.freeautobots.com.

With an autoresponder, you can collect the emails of your subscribers so that they will be able to receive your newsletters, e-zines, mini course or promotion.

2. Opting in
The most basic requirement of an Internet Marketer is to have a website. You need a website so you can include your autoresponder’s opt-in form, and allow your prospects to subscribe into your list.

Every single visitor that comes to your website is important and you can’t afford to lose any of them. Try to offer an irresistible free bonus to your visitors at a visible place on your website with the condition that they must opt-in to your list so that you are allowed to send them the free products.

It can be an e-book, a newsletter, an e-zine or just a mini course. If you are selling an informational digital product like an e-book, it is a good choice to offer few chapters of excerpts from your product as a free gift.

3. Using a double opt-in for safety
It is important that you use an autoresponder with the double opt-in feature. Many a times if you do not have this feature, you’ll be easily shut down for “spamming”. This is a result from people who had forgotten that they subscribed to your newsletter and reported that you had spammed, or someone else had inserted another person’s email into your opt-in box.

Using a double opt-in ensures that you get targeted subscribers, which means people who are interested in receiving your newsletter.

4. Contacting your subscribers
You must continue in following up with your subscribers once they are on your list. Put up an autoresponder series of newsletters, e-zine or mini course, when it is the right time you can promote your product etc. This way, you make sure you are in close relationship with your subscribers and that they can trust you more. Trust can turn into more profits for you.

5. Personalize your email
It is proven again and again that personalized emails are the best way of approaching your leads. If your messages can start with “Dear Bob,” “Dear Sam,” it increases your credibility and the response to your email.

Once you have completed all these 5 steps you’re ready to go and get more and more subscribers and build a solid business online.

5 Must Have Questions Answered In A Sales Letter

People include all kinds of sales pitch in their sales letter but sometimes still don’t achieve good results. The importance of a sales letter is likened to having a car show room. If the appearance of your show room isn’t delivering a good impression, no one will be going to buy your cars.

Thus, you must make sure that your sales letter has answers to the most basic questions, and instill interest in your visitors towards your product, just with these five specific questions answered:

1. What’s in it for me?
The number one rule of salesmanship – people only buy for one reason, which is for getting the best results from a product they want or need. To achieve this, you must be quick in catching their attention right from the beginning with your headline. Create a very convincing headline and give your visitors a compelling reason why they should want your product.

2. How will my life be better?
This is where you have to understand the emotional appeals that attract your prospects like moths to a flame. Do they want to become richer, smarter, better looking, thinner or more popular? Do they want to save time, money or effort?

Study your niche market until you know what emotional buttons to push and you’ll see a huge increase in your sales instantly. Use their desires to attract their attention, that’s where you will get them nodding their heads and continue reading right until the end.

3. Why should I trust you?
People are skeptical when it requires them to take out their wallets in order to buy a certain product. You need to clear their doubts by providing positive testimonials from your previous customers and emphasize the benefits of your product.

If you don’t have testimonials for your product, search for forums related to your niche and offer to give a complimentary copy in exchange for a testimonial – usually you get a hot response in no time.

4. What will happen if I say no?
You are not going to let them say no easily. Remind them about the problems that they are having, the frustrations, how much money will they lose, or how sad their lives are currently – and tell them how they can change all of that in one shot, just by a small investment in your product.


5. Will I be stuck with your product?
This is where you seal the deal. Tell them that you provide a 100% satisfaction guarantee; they must get it now. The most important thing is to make them buy. 70% of the people who purchase a product will not ask for a refund, unless they have seen something similar before at a better value or they’ve planned only to “borrow” it from the beginning.

When you have all these points to answer your prospects’ questions in your sales letter, not only will you gain an advantage over your competition, but also let your prospect know that you care about their problems and you have the solution that they need.
